This course is one of the unitary qualifications within QNUK’s Venue Security & Safety suite. It provides the learner with the key knowledge required to respond to critical, terroristic, violent and crowd incidents.
This qualification is aimed at learners who work in a frontline role ensuring the security and safety of customers at public events but could also be beneficial for operations and venue managers.
It covers the gap between SIA licence-linked and Spectator safety qualifications, including a wide range of subjects from understanding how to use information resources to build an anticipated profile of a crowd, those outside a venue and the methodology of analysing their behaviours to identify potential safety and security risks. Responses to perceived ‘persons of interest’ are also covered from an operative’s perspective.
All pricing is inclusive of VAT. For training outside of our core delivery area (North West, Midlands and West Yorkshire), additional costs for travel and accommodation may apply.
This qualification is aimed at learners aged 18 years and over.
English Language
Learners should have, at a minimum, language skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening at Ofqual Level 1 or an equivalent standard. If you are unsure whether you meet this requirement, please contact us.
All learners must have completed the ACT Awareness and ACT Security eLearning prior to attending the course and provide the trainer with copies of the certificates.
The method of assessment for this qualification is by Multiple Choice Examination (MCQ).
As this qualification is regulated in England, the assessments are conducted in English. It is important that learners have reasonable abilities in English language to have a fair opportunity to being successful.
Learners who successfully complete this course and assessment will gain a Level 2 Award in Venue Security Operations (RQF).
