Securing and Monitoring Public Events (RQF)

 Course Overview

This qualification is one of the unitary qualifications within the Venue Security & Safety suite; it provides the learner with the key knowledge required to operate within common security infrastructures used to establish a secure environment leading upto and into a venue. Understanding of the various roles, responsibilities and analyses of potential vulnerabilities within these infrastructures increases the learner’s effectiveness within an event security role.

This qualification is for learners who work in a frontline role ensuring the security and safety of customers at public events. It covers the gap between SIA licence-linked and Spectator safety qualifications, including a wide range of subjects from recognising basic and complex screening infrastructures used at public events, how to operate effectively within a variety of roles and tasks within ‘Zone X’, and how to monitor for vulnerabilities alongside proactive safety planning. These are included within this qualification from an operative’s perspective.
