The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Forestry First Aid +F (RQF) qualification is ideal for those who work (or intend to work) in a forestry, agricultural or remote environment, such as tree surgeons and farmers.
This short yet informative course bolts on to Emergency First Aid at Work to provide learners with the knowledge and practical competencies needed for the treatment of injuries and diseases that could occur whilst working in a forestry/agricultural-specific environment. Topics covered are extreme hot and cold temperatures, managing catastrophic bleeding, crush injuries and Lyme disease.
This qualification is designed to accompany a regulated First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work qualification and has been specifically developed to meet the recommendations of the Forestry Commission First Aid at Work Policy. This First Aid bolt-on can also be added to First Aid at Work (3-day course).
All pricing is inclusive of VAT. For training outside of our core delivery area (North West, Midlands and West Yorkshire), additional costs for travel and accommodation may apply.

This course is on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).
Forestry First Aid +F is important because it gives learners extra first aid knowledge for hazards that are more likely in forestry, agricultural, and remote working environments. FGH Training delivers this course to help learners deal with incidents that go beyond standard workplace first aid, including catastrophic bleeding, crush injuries, extreme temperatures, and Lyme disease.
This course is suitable for people who work, or plan to work, in forestry, agricultural, or remote environments. FGH Training delivers it for roles such as tree surgeons, farmers, and others who may need first aid training that reflects the added risks of outdoor and isolated working conditions.
Learners will gain practical knowledge and skills that build on Emergency First Aid at Work and prepare them for incidents linked to forestry and agricultural settings. Through FGH Training, they will learn how to respond to a range of environment-specific injuries and illnesses, helping them feel more confident dealing with emergencies where access to further help may be delayed.
This course is useful because it helps organisations provide first aid training that better matches the real risks of remote and land-based work. FGH Training provides this bolt-on qualification as a practical way for businesses to improve emergency readiness in environments where incidents can be more serious, more isolated, and harder to manage with basic first aid knowledge alone.
This course differs from standard workplace first aid training because it is designed specifically for forestry and agricultural environments and is intended to sit alongside a regulated First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work qualification. FGH Training delivers it as a bolt-on course so learners can add more targeted knowledge for remote working and sector-specific risks, rather than relying only on general workplace first aid content.
